I ran into these two on the way into the store. They were just hanging out in the parking lot waiting for their owner, happy as can be. It’s amazing how these creatures can brighten up ones day.

This is my third painting of this image of Wally. I like to redo the same image once every few years to see if there are improvements. I recently started using a palette of many transparent colors, which is new for me. As the title of a book I am going to buy says “Making Color Sing” that’s my goal.

Felt like doing something different today! A bit abstracted for me!
Finished the semester this week at FAU, was a great semester teaching two painting and one figure drawing class!
Off to a Gamblin Demonstration tomorrow hitting the road at 6:30 AM!
Life is good, I bought a Townhouse, I am moving in six weeks! Busy packing and happy to move forward!

This is probably my forth time painting this image. Not sure why I already like to revisit every year. This time I painted it a bit looser and a white background instead of black. I do think it maybe a bit stronger with the black background, so who knows maybe I’ll try again.

This victim is a neighbor of mine. He’s a puppy and his owner has done an amazing job training him. I felt like doing something different today and the pencils where calling “Nancy we need you”.

I’m preparing for a workshop Saturday with the focus on the practice of Daily Painting. This is an image that I am going to have everyone paint.

Once again I ran into this gang at West Palm Beach! I think I have a crush on bulldogs!
